Disneyland Mini Title Page

I’m now just 6 weeks away from my first 1/2 marathon and I want to make sure I document it. I signed up for Ali Edward‘s Scrapbook on the Road class last weekend to see how she tackles travel albums and getting it done.  I knew going into the album that it would be a 6×8 “insert” into my regular Project Running Album. (which is up to date, but it hasn’t been photographed since week 5 I think) I also wanted the album to have a cohesive look so I chose one collection to use throughout the trip and that’s Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine collection. I also shopped my own stash for the embellishments and stickers for the album.

To create the title page I cut down a 12×12 paper down to 6.25×8.25 (because the sleeves are slightly larger then 6×8. If I was going to do something completely flat I would have cut it to 6.5×8.5. I then dusted off my Silhouette and loaded up some vellum and cut a castle shape I bought shortly after getting my Silhouette and never used. I downloaded a font from the internet for the Disneyland and date.  The geotag is from one of the shrunk down cards in the 6×6 pad I just cut it out. The wood veneer hearts are from Studio Calico and everything else is from Simple Stories.

I’ve bought almost all the different combinations for Snap page protectors, I didn’t get the 4×4/2×8 because I don’t understand it, and they’ll all be used in some way.  I’m currently working on what I know I’ll want to document and picking out pages that I think will work like I know for the finish line I’ll want a 4×6 slot so I’ll plan that out. Then I’ll  pick out the journaling cards for each page so I can take those with me to Disneyland and at night I can fill them out while the thoughts are fresh.

When I get home I’ll start printing my photos and laying out all the spots for photopass and marathonfoto spots. I hope that by planning it out and having a vision when I get back I can finish it up in just a couple weeks and not a couple of years like a few other Disney mini albums sitting on my shelf right now.

Wave Your Hands

When I get a new Lawn Fawn set I tend to stamp 4-7 of each color-able critter or thing and practice what color combinations would work with them. I had these dinos and I remembered I had this set from Mama Elephant and Studio Calico that I still hadn’t used. It made the perfect sentiment to go with the dinos. I could have/should have added party hats to the dinos, but I already sent this card to my brother for his birthday.   Thanks for stopping by, <3 Ann

Run Happy

It’s been quite a while since my last update. I’ve been crafting, but I haven’t gotten around to posting it all on my blog. Now that Two Peas is closing I think I need to get back to sharing them on my blog rather then just on an online gallery.

I made this layout with the May Gossamer Blue kit. It’s a photo from a 10k I did at the beginning of May. I wasn’t fast, but I’m now over that injury.  I had recently bought a new shirt that has “Run Happy” in different fonts all over it. Running makes me happy and makes me feel good and that’s why I run.

Thanks for stopping by.

I have another layout I made with the January Gossamer Blue kit. It uses a lot of the Printshop collection from Studio Calico and the printables that are included in the kit.  This is one of my favorite character photos of 2013 and I had to give it a page to its self.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Card

I made this card to display in my LSS. I used the 6×6 Carta Bella It’s a Celebration pad and a sticker from the sheet. The greeting is my favorite Lawn Fawn birthday greeting (So Much to Say) I heat embossed it in white to add a bit of texture.

Thanks for stopping by!
