I haven’t fully gotten into Pinterest, but I do a lot of blog reading and gallery viewing at 2 Peas in a Bucket. One of the garden girls, http://www.nicholmagouirk.typepad.com/ is the reason I decided on my new trimmer, finally getting a Silhouette, and my new love for stamping.  I have found myself thinking my recent pages need a little something and find myself cutting a thin strip of pp or cardstock and loving the look and feel. Something I’ve watched Nichol do in many of her Start to Finish videos on Two Peas. This has been bookmarked and watched a couple of times.  I had a picture sitting on my desk that I wanted to do a layout with, but had been coming up blank.  Well I was looking at Nichol’s gallery yesterday after watching this week’s video. Then I created my layout. I didn’t have a butterfly punch. So this butterfly is from the Silhouette store. I bought both pieces together. I’ve used it before without the overlay, but I thought it was a great way to add a bit of color without it being too over powering. I am also obsessed with rows and sections and things of the sort it seems these days. After I put all the butterflies onto the layout I felt it wasn’t finished so I took some of the scrap from the butterflies and added the 2 color border around the photo and a few Basic Grey letter stickers I had laying around and I had a quick and easy layout. I’ve got lots of ideas for it.
