Remember a baseball season?

Last night I was pulling pictures I took of the tv during a baseball game. It was a 6 hour and 39 minute wrong call ended game. Which lead me to look for the pictures I took of the tv after a no hitter last season and game 162. I’m thinking of doing a mini book where most the photos would be pulled from the internet or ones I’ve taken of the tv. Last season was an important season in baseball. It lead to changes in the wild card post season system…and lead to even more questions of replay and why I wish the commissioner would retire and allow someone else to step in and add something we need. It also marked the beginning of a new managerial era. I don’t think I’d do one every year. I’d guess the next one would be the road to the Tampa Bay Rays World Series Win.

I could do a couple of layouts just using the photos I have or doing a non-photo layout. I know I want to remember it somehow. I just don’t know the best way.

Has anyone else done this?

1st Visit

I have to say I’m so happy I decided to subscribe to Studio Calico.  In just two months of kits I’m already seeing a change in my scrapbooking. I mean I’m actually creating pages, but cards well I need to get back to doing those.

I started this layout with the embellishment cluster. It’s the first cluster I’ve spend time thinking about. I used a couple die cuts from So Cal I added the hello and that small blue starburst hexagon stamp from the summer stamp class. The restroom lady is from a wood veneer set by Studio Calico that I picked up at my LSS last week.  The Wednesday is from the Malibu addon and is byOctober Afternoon.

The title is dons with the grey Basic Grey alphabet from the City of Lights kit (but I picked them up as a shop item this month) the st is a Tim and Beck alpha in So Cal. I like that the title doesn’t stand out too much *thinking that st stands out too much*

I matted the photo on kraft because as I started I had a piece on the table as my layout base and realized the sand was the exact same color. My husband loved

I still have a bunch of stuff from this month’s kits and a couple more layouts I haven’t stared yet, and I order next month’s kits Wednesday morning.

The Hub

I took this photo on One More Disney Day around 9am. I did do a bit of fun editing to to bring out the pink the tree. Which doesn’t come off well in the photo. I started this layout with one element. that small stamped “My Happy Place” banner. The black cardstock is 6×8. The butterflies are each a different medium. The smallest is a sticker I picked up in the Studio Calico shop, the pink one is a wood veneer one  misted in Sunset and the blue is a mistable with Powder Blue.

The yellow button, twine, paper, and tab are all from So Cal kits. The title is the Stepping Stone alphabet with the HeyDay collection. I did the solid in Wet Cement and then did an off outline with the same soft pool I used for the banner stamp.  The black button is a Jenni Bowlin that I picked up at my LSS a couple weeks ago.

So Cal is in the house!

Actually it arrived a week ago. I’ve been playing with it and finally finished this layout over the weekend. This month I got So Cal, Malibu, and Venice Beach.

I started this layout with the Heidi Swapp banner pieces and a photo David took on our flight for our move. I then started pulling other pieces. That pp background I didn’t know how I would use it so I tossed some splatters (Warm Calico and Gold) I stamped the map from the Adventure set that Studio Calico offered a couple months ago. I colored Georgia and California with distress markers Mustard Seed and Spun Sugar I think (or Worn Lipstick) I pulled some more pieces from the kits, the prima ticket that says (with you) the Heidi Swapp trimming, a button, the orange alpha, and twine. Without much thought I just started putting the page together. I actually really like it. Although there’s no triangle for your eye to follow. (something I’m trying to work on)

One More Disneyland Day

This layout is for this weeks Lawnscaping challenge

I started this layout with a very different plan. I had the Lawn Fawn chevron paper cut to 8.5×11, the castle pieced from the 6×6 Bright Sides paper pad, and a bunch of stars and hearts cut out. The castle and hearts and stars are from Critters Ever After.  I had a different photo in mind…but I decided to splatter the paper. I used Mister Huey’s Inky Black and Calico White. I then added some washi tape to the corner and then I realized my small square photo of Sleeping Beauty Castle wasn’t going to work. I printed this collage shortly after becoming addicted to Instagram. They’re my favorite photos I took over the course of 24 hours at Disneyland. I did the title with a chevron piece from the 6×6 pad. I left the centers in because 1 I was getting tired and that’s a lot of letters to fussy cut…and look at how many insides and 2 I like the solid look of the letters with the splatters. I added a tab with the year using Say Cheese too and a Jenni Bowlin punch. I added in the stars and hearts I cut before and it was done.

I’m thinking this will be the section front for all the One More Disney Day layouts I’ve done/will do. I have so many cute stories and favorite photos to share.

Does this count as using 20 photos or just 1?
