Lawn Fawn <3

My name is Ann and I’m a Lawn Fawn addict. When I first started stamping about about 2 years ago I came across Lawn Fawn and entered to win some stamps.  I never expected to win anything, but was hoping to get to try some of their stamps since I couldn’t find them locally at the time. When I stamped my first critter I fell in love. The stamps were great quality and fun. I mean there’s a tissue box and band aid with faces. So fast forwards about 2 years and Lawn Fawn starts to create dies and I don’t own a die cutting machine. Well I had to buy a die cutting machine just because of the dies.  The dies are just as amazing as the stamps.

Recently I created this card for a card challenge and used my Critters of the Forest stamps and dies First I cut and pieced the tree together and then the fox I created by using some water color pencils and then cut him. The Lawn Fawn dies are so easy to line up and give the image a nice white border.

I also used the Fancy envelope tabs die from Lifestyle Crafts to create the flag and used the My Mind’s Eye Collectible 6×6 pad. The greeting was done with some My Little Shoebox letters.

Thanks for checking out today’s card and I’ll see you next week. (hopefully)

P.S. Happy Birthday to sweet and wonderful husband.

Inspiration: Where are you?

I know my blog has been neglected over the last few months. Aside from my Stitch Fix posts. To be honest outside of my projects for The Sampler Kit Club  (I have a new post up today) I haven’t created much.

So I’m going to take a step back from creating layouts. Aside from a million pictures of Riker I haven’t done much to scrapbook. I’m going to still make layouts for my design team posts, but for my own personal stuff I’m going to just be making cards for a bit.  I was working on a card yesterday and I got stuck because I didn’t have a stamp set I keep wishing I had bought.  So I’m going to do some shopping.

On the personal side I have plenty of things to keep me busy and a bit refreshing. I’m finally getting back to Disney World this summer, my new interest in fashion (if you can call it that), and getting back to physical therapy and with that hopefully swimming and running.

So I’m off to do some shopping new stamps, 6×6 pads, and embellishment, but tonight I’ll just do some sketching.

And because a post without something is a waste here’s my Easter card I sent to my family this year I used Lawn Fawn’s Happy Easter set for the flowers, the cute bunny, and the greeting. I used the Say Cheese die for the frame and the cloud is embossed from Bon Voyage.

I created the background with Studio Calico mists and a water brush onto some white cardstock. I used Dear Lizzy’s Neapolitan that I got from Target some time ago.

Thanks for reading and I hope to be posting more in the upcoming weeks.

Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm

I got a handful of the new Lawn Fawn stamps. One I was really excited about was Summertime Charm.

When I first saw it my first thought was capturing critters. I thought captuing the unicorn would make a great kids birthday card. I even closed it by sewing it . It was my first attempt at sewing vellum, but I think it turned out okay. I used Dear Lizzy’s Neapolitan papers and some thickers for the greeting.

The 2nd card I made  is for a boy who’s hopefully a fan of Phineas and Ferb. I colored Perry and put his hat the jar with Lawn Fawn trimmings as a rope from the hat to Perry. After I finished the card I realized that it would have been more birthday if I had put a birthday cake in the jar instead of his hat, but I think it works. I could even make it a just saying hello or anything card.  I used Lawn Fawn Dewey Decimal papers and some Glitz and Freckled Fawn washi.

Thanks for checking out my cards. Hope you have a great week! <3 Ann

Happy Valentine’s Day

I love love love this card. It’s simple, it’s me, and I know DH will just toss it in a pile, so this card is for me.  I finally replaced my crappy Ranger heat tool with the one Hero Arts offers Simon Says Stamp offers it.  It set this entire card in less then a minute. The arrow is from Basic Grey/Hero Arts.  I used gold metallic zing from American Crafts. The washi tapes are both new Glitz tapes and the love you is Lawn Fawn I don’t remember the name of the collection.   Honestly this card took me 5 minutes and that’s only because I had to dig through my alphabets and stamps to find the right sentiments.

I hope you have a great Valentine’s Day

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone!  <3 Ann

This year’s Christmas card might be my favorite ever. I used washi tape, ribbon, the silhouette, mist, and an Ali Edwards digital file.  Each card was unique and they were so colorful.
