I created this layout using this month’s Sampler Kit. It’s been a fun kit to play with and this layout just came together. i used the gold glitter on my DIY thickers to recreate the look of my shoes in the picture.  I layered some paper and pieces from the Basic Gray Snippets pack and I had a bunch of fun with it.

Brothers

Another Sock Hop layout.  I had a lot of fun playing with this kit. I really need to break into some more. This is one of my more simple layouts, but it’s my DH and his brother at Golden Gate Park.  I was mainly looking for a way to use that dude thought bubble and while I’m not sure I love it, I’m happy with the end point.

Hwy One Coast

This is one of my favorite pictures of 2012. We drove down 1 looking for a lighthouse that turns out was closed, but we stopped at just about every turn off, vista point, and picture spot along the way. This photo is from one of our last stops.  Until moving to California last year (has it really almost been a year) I never saw cliffs on the coast.  I used Sock Hop from Studio Calico, but I added quite a few extra pieces from my stash to make my clusters. I really love those vellum borders from Crate Paper and I hope to see more in the future.

The Lone Cypress

The Lone Cypress is landmark 16 on the 17 mile drive in Pebble Beach. It was the highlight of the dive and it’s beautiful. I used Sock Hop to make this layout.  I used my typewriter on a label to add my journaling. Which is just the basics of where this was, but I have about a million other photos of this one tree from 100 different angles so I’m sure I’ll get to the story behind the tree soon enough.

Sea Beauty

Has it really been over a month since I posted a layout. Well I’ve done a bit of creating. I’ve done a ton of shopping and reorganization and re-reorganization.

I used Studio Calico’s So Cal kits for this layout. I added the mistable hexagons from the 35mm kit, gold and powder blue mister huey’s, Martha Stewart’s Heart Confetti and the adventure stamp set Studio Calico once offered.
