Last year I had high hopes of doing Project Life when we moved, but when all your supplies are in a warehouse for a month and you fall a month behind before you even start..well it’s kinda hard to catch up…add in I began to hate the way my phone took pictures and I didn’t want to lug my slr everywhere. I bought a BH Project Life kit..which I hate. The colors are very different then what I expected online. Oh well moving on.
I want to do this project, but my weekly life kinda goes…Monday catch up from the weekend (cleaning, errands, and tv) Tuesday-Friday go to the scrapbook store, cook, clean, and play with Riker. Saturday and Sunday vary a little bit, but not enough that I’d find interesting enough to document each week. So I’d end up with a 52 pictures of Target, some new scrapbook supply, and 104 pictures of Riker.
Well I ordered a Nexus 4 which should be delivered any day now. Seriously I can’t wait. I’m a Google Fan Girl and I know it. So I’ll have a great camera phone. I’m going to switch up the size. I don’t do 12×12. It just isn’t me. So I’m going to get a Simple Stories Snap album and a bunch of page protectors. I’m going to do more of a monthly thing. Some months might just be 2-4 pages others might be 6-10, but for me I think it’ll work out better. I know I can do a 2 page spread for each trip we take as a nice overview or if we take a trip to the Golden Gate Bridge or the beach I can put that in each time as a reminder as how nice it is to live so close to such cool stuff. (because when you grow up in Atlanta nothing is cool there)
I plan to do week in the life 4 times next year. One per season. Documenting how life changes or doesn’t as the weather changes. I’m thinking I might start off the album with week in the life, but I don’t want to put that much pressure on starting the project so we’ll see.
Now I’m off to add the binder and page protectors to my Christmas list.
Thanks for reading and happy crafting! <3 Ann
When the weather clears up I have layouts to share…and I have days 2-5 on DD to share as well.
